Spa Grand Prix and TicketSwap extend partnership: fans guaranteed safe resale via SecureSwap and Sealed Tickets
Brussels, 08 July 2026 – Spa Grand Prix, organiser of the Belgian F1 Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, and TicketSwap are continuing their partnership to keep ticket resale safe, fair, and convenient.
Since launching in 2024, the collaboration has now been extended for another five years and strengthened with the addition of SecureSwap and Sealed Tickets. Together, both parties are focused on making resale as reliable as possible for fans.
As part of this next step, both SecureSwap and Sealed Tickets are now fully integrated. With SecureSwap, every resold ticket is cancelled and replaced with a brand-new one issued in the buyer’s name with a unique barcode. With Sealed Tickets, tickets are securely held back and only released to the buyer shortly before the event, allowing tickets to be resold safely within a closed environment. Together, these solutions give Spa Grand Prix greater control over the entire resale process, significantly reducing the risk of ticket fraud and duplicates, and ensuring full traceability from start to finish.
“The Belgian Grand Prix welcomes more than 380,000 fans each year, which brings significant challenges in terms of ticketing. Last year, we launched our partnership with TicketSwap, and we look back on it with great satisfaction. We believe it’s important that fans – even those buying resold tickets – can rely on a smooth and worry-free experience. The integrations of SecureSwap and Sealed Tickets mark an important next step in achieving that. It ensures fair and seamless access to the event, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the Belgian Grand Prix,” says Vanessa Maes, General Manager at Spa Grand Prix.
“The Belgian Grand Prix is not only one of the biggest sporting events in Belgium, but also an icon in the international sports world. We’re proud to expand our collaboration with an event that has earned legendary status among Formula 1 fans worldwide. More and more sports organisations are discovering how our technology contributes to a safe and seamless ticketing experience for fans and organisers alike. Our continued role at Spa-Francorchamps is a strong testament to the trust placed in TicketSwap,” says Jan van Casteren, CEO at TicketSwap.
